Flying Solar Panel Concept

Feb-23-13 A group of students have designed a prototype flying solar panel, able to move about to deliver power or position itself in the sunniest spot.

The concept device, from a team of students at Queen Mary University of London, would feature four propellers to allow it freedom of movement. The designers claim it could be programmed to perform a variety of functions, including delivering emergency power in remote areas or as a solar array for outdoor expeditions and events.

According to their Facebook page, the team has already designed a prototype and is now working on a more advanced concept.
