GeniCan Tracks Trash and Makes a List

Jan-13-17 The GeniCan invention will track your garbage as you throw it away, creating a shopping list or even ordering a replacement online.

The GeniCan attaches to the edge of the trash bin, where it requires that the user swipe the object’s bar code in order to add it to the shopping list. Non-barcoded items can be entered by triggering the GeniCam’s voice recognition system, and the information is sent to a paired smartphone.
