Genie Creates Meals in 30 Seconds Via Food Pods

May-11-15 The Genie can produce meals on demand via its system of dehydrated food pods—bringing us even closer to the Star Trek replicator.

Developed by Israeli entrepreneurs Ayelet Carasso and Doron Marco from White Innovation, the Genie creates its “unlimited variety” of meals from its specialized pods, which are loaded with all-natural, dehydrated ingredients. When a meal is selected using the companion app, the Genie will automatically measure, mix, and cook the ingredients to produce the dish. Necessary liquids are delivered through tubes in the back of the machine, and the entire unit is about the size of a coffee maker.
