Goosenator Convinces Geese to Go

Goosenator Convinces Geese to Go
Dec-27-12
The Goosenator Robot helps to return wildlife to the wild, encouraging geese to leave city parks with its large orange body and devilish grin.

While dogs have been used to discourage geese, the dog cost about $500 a day and their range of movement and speed is limited. In contrast, the remote-controlled Goosinator is made of orange foam and can move up to 25 miles an hour on grass, snow, concrete and even icy water, emitting a loud sound as it convinces the geese to set up housekeeping elsewhere.
The Goosinator costs about $3000 to build and the Denver parks division plan to have them operated by interns. Though the $3000 seems expensive, it costs up to $1000 a week to clean up after the geese.
