A new balloon camera rig uses gyro-stabilization to maintain a constant direction, making the device easier to drive and control for the best bird's eye shot.
Developed by NHK of Japan, the camera rig is mounted to a tethered balloon, and includes four-axis gyro stabilization. The camera is able to pan, tilt or zoom as usual, and the balloon can fly up to 984 feet high while still remaining in remote control range.
