Soon, you may be able to leave your smart phone in your pocket, and answer calls by tapping your hand.
German researchers are developing the concept, which uses a depth-sensitive camera to read the finger motions on the palm and then send the data to software for analysis. Once interpreted, the instructions are sent back to the phone using a wireless radio.
Although currently the device relies on a bulky camera for operation, a smaller, wearable camera is the ultimate goal.
