HeLi-on Solar Panel Rolls Up for Storage

HeLi-on Solar Panel Rolls Up for Storage
Dec-18-15
The flexible HeLi-on solar panel can be unrolled to capture the sun’s rays and charge small devices, then rolled up and tucked away in a pocket or bag.

Created by Infinity PV, the HeLi-on’s strip of solar cells have printed on a thin film of plastic foil measuring less than one millimeter thick. Once extended from its pocket-sized case (which also holds the 2,600 mAh rechargeable battery), the HeLi-on cells can generate about 3 W of power under “standard conditions.” That power can then be used to charge USB-powered gadgets.
