Immersit Brings the Couch Into the Action

Feb-18-16 The Immersit brings a new dimension to the home theater by letting the couch get in on the action.

Developed by a French startup, the Immersit is a simple, plug-and-play device that features four pads that sit beneath the couch’s four lets. The pads are attached to a power pack and a control unit the triggers the pads’ movement based on the action on the screen, which is determined by software. The system can work with both movies and games that already have a “motion code,” or it can translate the action on-screen to activate the more than 1000 vibration and movement combinations.
