Implantable Bimek SLV Switches Off Sperm

Implantable Bimek SLV Switches Off Sperm
Jan-11-16
The implantable Bimek SLV offers a temporary, and less invasive, alternative to vasectomies by letting men control their flow of sperm with a flip of the switch.

Created by Clemens Bimak, the Bimek SLV is made up of the polymer PEEK OPTIMA, which has been safely used in medical implants. The device features a mechanical switch that can be triggered through the skin of the scrotum—blocking the flow of sperm for three months—and the implant procedure requires only 30 minutes to complete.
