InPen Smart Insulin Pen

Aug-02-16 The InPen smart insulin pen invention communicates with a smartphone to track insulin use and supply.

Created by Companion Medical, the In Pen communicates with a paired smartphone via Bluetooth to calculate dosages as well as record the amount of dosage and the time it was injected. The smartphone app will recommend the amount of insulin to be injected, though the dose has to be manually set by the user.

The InPen is the first smart insulin delivery pen to be approved by the FDA.
