The Lapka personal environmental monitoring system works with an iPhone and app to check environmental conditions, including verifying whether or not a food is organic.
The prototype system connects to an iPhone and includes sensors able to measure humidity, temperature, radiation levels, and electromagnetic frequencies, as well as check for the amount of nitrates in an item of food. The organic sensor works through a small steel probe inserted into the food, while the other sensors are small, sleek, and cube-shaped, echoing the iPhone's aesthetics.
