Jerry Personal Robot

Jerry Personal Robot
Apr-21-16
The Jerry personal robot from Slant Robotics was created to make a household robot affordable, and useful, to more people.

Developed with the household space in mind, the Jerry is able to lift and manipulate common items. Its grasping arm was specially designed to reach over a standard kitchen counter and into the back of a fridge, for example, and it can lift up to six pounds. The Jerry is not all about brawn, either. It is equipped with the same computing power being used in self-driving cars, with a focus on visual applications and deep-learning.

The Jerry is also designed to be improved on, and the creators have made the software and much of the hardware open source, to encourage new ideas.
