Kovea Portable Electric Camp Stove

Apr-07-17 The portable electric induction camp stove from Kovea would replace dangerous and bulky propane containers.

Still in the prototype phase, the KES (Kovea electric stove) replaces the typical gas canister with a rechargeable battery able to heat water for about an hour. The induction technology is safer than the typical open flame, and can be used in enclosed spaces without the dangers of toxic gas build-up.

The team plans to improve the stove’s ability to run longer on a single charge, which currently is most suited to car camping.
