Lomo Smartphone-Controlled Sprinkler System
Nov-05-13
Control your sprinkler system from work and save water with the smartphone-controlled Lono Sprinkler system.

Currently surpassing its funding goal on Kickstarter, the Lono system was designed to simplify the process of watering lawns. Specific sprinkler zones can be turned off and on remotely, and the user can adjust the water amounts to ensure that drier areas of the lawn receive enough water. The Lomo system also works automatically, gathering both historic and live evapotranspiration information to ensure the amount of water suits the plant life and soil type. A ‘snooze’ button will allow the user to cancel that day’s watering, if desired, and the system can control up to 20 different zones.

According to the developers, the Lomo System will allow users to consume 22 to 70 percent less water, and its purchase will qualify for government rebates in some water districts.
