Lumos Cycling Helmet Illuminates the Turns

Lumos Cycling Helmet Illuminates the Turns
Jul-16-15
The cycling helmet from Lumos is equipped with bright LED lights and an automatic brake light system, helping ensure better visibility when biking at night.

Beyond simple illumination, the helmet features wireless. 2.4 GHz RF chips in the handlebars what allow the rider to activate the turn signal LEDs on the appropriate side of the helmet. When the turn signals are on, the handlebar switch will illuminate and emit a sound (much like in a car), reminding the rider that the signal is engaged. The helmet will also communicate with an onboard accelerometer that will trigger helmet’s brake light as the rider slows.

The helmet’s battery can be charged via micro USB within just over two hours, and a single charge can last for a month with intermittent usage.
