The MetaLimbs robotic arms give wearers an extra hand—or two.
The MetaLimbs were developed by a team from the Inami Laboratory in Tokyo as an innovative solution to our limited number of limbs. The robotic arms are meant to be used while sitting, fitting under the user’s real arms and controlled by tracking balls on the feet and knees. Haptic sensors on the arms will deliver force feedback to the feet, where bend sensors on the toes can trigger the hands to make fists.
