Microclimate Chair Helps Athletes Recover

Microclimate Chair Helps Athletes Recover
May-17-16
Nike’s new temperature changing, ergonomic Microclimate chair could give athletes an edge by allowing them to recover move quickly.

The chair, created by architect Greg Lynn, feautures seventy thermoelectric devices embedded in the weave. These devices are able to cool specific areas of the body while keeping other parts warm, as dictated by the flow of the electric current, and a tube running along the outside of the chair helps reduce humidity around the user. According to Lynn, the Microclimate chair would be most useful to athletes who have short bursts of activity.
