Microsoft Surface Hub Updates the Whiteboard

Microsoft Surface Hub Updates the Whiteboard
Jan-30-15
Microsoft has updated the classic white board with its Surface Hub digital screen, which lets remote teams interact and collaborate within the same space.

The touch-enabled screen runs on Windows 10 and connects to the workspace WiFi to give instant access to its built-in Skype and OneNote app. Phased array microphones set into either side of the screen will automatically focus on the active speaker, while the 1080p wide-angle cameras capture an image of the entire room as well as the person standing at the screen. The screen's included digital pen will respond to pressure—altering the width of the digital ink—and can be flipped over and used as an eraser. And in true support of collaboration, two people can 'write' on the device at the same time.
