MODS Modular Shoe

Jun-19-16 The MODS innovative modular shoe concept from Quang Pham would allow users to switch out shoe parts in order to reduce waste.

The MODS shoe concept consists of five different modules made of bamboo, wool textiles, and recycled PET. As the parts of the shoe wear out, they could be replaced individually, rather than tossing out the entire shoe, and a customer discount incentive would encourage people to return the worn-out parts for recycling.

The MODS shoe was the Winner of the “Best Student Project” category in the Cradle to Cradle Product Design challenge.
