Morphing Car Changes Sizes

Mar-08-20 Renaut has designed an electric concept car called Morphoz that can be physically expanded for long-distance travel or contracted to a city-friendly size.

Morphoz has a smart system powered by AI that enables the car to recognize its driver on approach.

The city version is 4.4 meters (14.44') long and has a range of 249 miles, while the travel mode extends to 4.8 meters (15.75') adding more legroom and space for two more suitcases. Adding an additional shared battery to the travel mode increases the car's range to 435 miles.

When back in city mode, the shared battery can be dropped off at a station to be used by another vehicle.
