MR1 DIY-friendly Car Lift

A car drives up the ramps and is raised to a horizontal position using a trolley jack slotted into the centre of the lifting beam. Axle stands are placed under the raised lift and the trolley jack removed. Stands may be placed between the car bodywork and floor and the ramps lowered, leaving body and pairs of wheels suspended. The lifting beam may be removed to increase access to the clear floor space under the lift.
Comprises two car-length ramps on pivoted supports at the upper ends, connected by an adjustable length lifting beam at the lower ends.
