Muki Image-Displaying Coffee Mug is Powered by Coffee

May-01-14 The Muki coffee mug helps to brighten your day by displaying a different image every time it is filled.

The Muki is equipped with an e-ink display powered by a TEG-element, which uses the heat of the coffee (or other hot beverages) to produce enough electricity to power the display for about 20 seconds. During that time, images for the screen can be uploaded to the device via Bluetooth, either by the owner of Muki or by their friends, to be displayed on the screen. Once the image has been loaded to the e-ink screen, it will remain there without requiring any more electricity.

The Muki is currently seeking beta testers.
