Origami Standing Desk

Origami Standing Desk
Mar-20-14
The cardboard standing desk from Chairgami was designed as a lightweight, eco-friendly and affordable alternative to more expensive versions.

The desk, which has already surpassed its funding goal on Kickstarter, is part of a line of flat-packed, cardboard furniture from Zach Rotholz. The desk is made of single-wall cardboard instead of the usual Chairgami choice of triple-walled, which makes the design easier to cut and more suitable for mass production. Origami folding techniques were used to increase the strength of the desk, such as the legs and at the top. The desk stands 42 inches tall and weighs only 15 pounds, but is capable of supporting up to 300 pounds.
