Painless Bandage Leaves the Glue Behind

Painless Bandage Leaves the Glue Behind
Nov-01-12
A new ouch-less bandage that leaves the adhesive behind could help prevent damaging the skin of newborns, the elderly and other people with fragile skin.

Developed by a team at Harvard and MIT, the bandage features a layer of silicon between the actual body of the bandage and the adhesive. When the bandage is removed, the adhesive remains on the skin, where it can be easily washed away or left to wear off on its own.
