Pay @ Pump Beer Pump Cuts Beer Queues

Dec-16-16 Just in time for the holidays, the Pay @ Pump beer pump lets busy patrons pour and pay for their own ale.

Unwrapped by Barclaycard, the Pay @ Pump prototype beer tap lets customers order a beer via its touchscreen and pay with a contactless card. Compared to the average of twelve minutes to serve a pint, the Pay @ Pump can pour a pint in under a minute, helping to reduce customer waiting time. Although the current pump is designed to serve beer, the same system could be modified to pour any type of drink.
