The C-Station eases congestion around public power outlets by providing commuters and travelers with a secure way to charge their phones.
Conceived by Germain Verbrackel for use in the Mumbai International Airport, the C-Station is designed as a charging locker for cell phones. The tall, narrow vault would accommodate around ten cell phones, though it could be designed to hold more, and would function in much the same way as a baggage locker. The user would simply pay a fee, insert their device into a locker and plug it in, then lock the door behind them and pocket the key. Once the device is charged, the 'key' to the individual locker would turn green, letting the owner know that charging is complete.
