Prodone Armed Drone Can Grasp and Carry

Sep-11-16 The slightly terrifying PD6B-AW-ARM drone from Prodrone boasts a pair of robotic arms able to pick up and carry larger loads, such as chairs or life-saving floatation devices.

Hailed as the world’s first dual robot arm large-format drone, the ARM drone is an evolution of the company’s PD6B-AW version, with the added bonus of a pair of 5-axis robotic arms. The arms are able to pick up, carry and release objects as large as 22 pounds, while the bot’s onboard algorithms allow it to remain stable while flying.

Although the PD6B-AW-ARM is not the first armed drone being developed, it is the first version to make it all the way to production.
