PulseWallet Lets You Pay With Your Veins

PulseWallet Lets You Pay With Your Veins
Jan-10-14
Intended for use at the point-of-sale, the PulseWallet uses biometric technology to let customers pay for items simply by placing a hand over the device.

The PulseWallet system includes the credit card terminal and register with a built-in biometric palm reader equipped with an infrared Fujitsu camera. After the user swipes a credit card, the camera photographs the vein pattern of the user’s hand and pairs it with the chosen card. Once the card and vein pattern have been paired, the user can pay with the card at any other Pulse Wallet location simply by holding a hand over the terminal. Identity confirmation takes less than a second (according to The Verge) and the touch-free system is hygienic and non-intrusive.
