Quell Relieves Chronic Pain While You Sleep

Nov-30-16 The pain-reducing Quell neurostimulator from NeuroMetrix is the first to receive FDA approval for use during sleep.

Created to help relieve chronic pain, the Quell is designed to be wrapped around the affected area, where it will deliver neural pulses to help block the body’s pain signals. While the technology is not particularly new, the Quell stands out in that it is equipped with an accelerometer able to detect when the user is sleeping and adjust its treatment accordingly. The Quell communicates with a paired device via Bluetooth and can be controlled via a companion app.
