Removable Chewing Gum

Removable Chewing Gum
Oct-04-10
Revolymer has come up with a chewing gum that can easily be removed using just soap and water.

A conventional street cleaner will remove more than 50% of it from our streets. When washed into drains, the gum degrades into minerals, biodegradable products and inert materials.

Peppermint and spearmint versions of Rev7 have already been released, with more flavors to follow.

Assuming the gum offers comparable chewing performance relative to competition, and doesn't cost more than other brands, it may catch on with some consumers. However, my guess is that most people who would buy something like this aren't the ones who drop their gum on the sidewalk.

That's great. So either every manufacturer has to switch to this formula to do any good. The only people buying the special gum will either; be conscientious enough to properly dispose of it already -or- are the kind of prick that would now think even less of tossing their gum on the ground 'because its biodegradable!'

Singapore has the right idea. We just need to start beating people with sticks.
