Retina-Display Translation Eyeglasses

Retina-Display Translation Eyeglasses
Oct-26-09
NEC has developed eyeglasses that interpret foreign languages by projecting the translation onto a person's retina, making it possible to look at each other while speaking.

A sript projector and microphone are attached to the glasses, and a small computer is worn on the waist. The projector displays expressions from both languages by casting light directly onto the retina.

The retina transforms the optical information into a nerve signal which is sent to the center of the brain via optic nerves.
