Funded by Kickstater, the Rhino Shield glass is about as thick as three sheets of paper and is 95 percent transparent. An oleophobic coating repels smudges while remaining smooth and pleasant to touch, and a ‘special coating technology’ provides a hardness level of up to 3H, preventing scratch damage. Most impressive, the Rhino Shield can withstand being dropped on bricks and other hard surfaces, and even survived a drop from a half-pound steel ball from 18 inches.
