The Ergonomic Shovel promises to take some of the strain out of shoveling with its rotating second handle.
Created by Stephen Walden, the shovel features a rotating, ring-shaped structure in the middle of the shaft that allows the user to customize their hand position for the task. By altering the angle of the shovel shaft , the user can point the shovel’s base in the direction they intent to pitch the objects being shoveled. This rotation helps to eliminate the extra effort of turning to toss the debris. The line of shovels will include a flathead, spade and snow shovel.
The Ergonomic Shovel project is currently seeking funding on Kickstarter.
