Samsung Shows Off Mirrored and Transparent OLED Displays

Jun-10-15 Samsung’s new mirrored and transparent OLED displays let people look at OLEDs in a whole new way.

The OLED displays were recently demonstrated at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, where they highlighted their uses in the commercial retail business with a featured display of a “virtual necklace.” When paired with Intel’s RealSense Technology, the mirrored Samsung OLED panels finally bring the virtual dressing room to life, allowing shoppers to “try on” clothing to see how the style suits them without actually donning the clothes.

As for the transparent displays, the see-through OLEDs could be destined for interactive ads (also equipped with RealSense).
