A new liquid polymer material that adheres to the skin to cover wrinkles and wounds could be used to enhance skin as well as fight skin diseases.
Created by a team from Olivo Labs, the “second skin” is the result of five years of research testing more than 100 different polymers. The silicon-based material is both invisible and comfortable, and outperformed two commercial wound dressings in terms of wearability while also offering better skin hydration than commercial moisturizers.
