The Reactor from Sinewave Cycles tidies up bicycle phone-charging capabilities by housing the electronics within the frame of the bike.

Meant to be used with a third-party wheel hub generator, the Reactor’s cylindrical body contains the electronics for the transmission of the generated electricity. The cylinder sits inside the tube of the bike, where a power cable runs from the bottom of the device, through the bottom of the tube and down one of the fork legs to attach to the generator. A metal USB port is attached to the top of the Reactor, and protrudes from the top of the handlebar stem in place of the stem cap. A smartphone can then be attached to the port via a USB cable and secured to the handlebars with a user-supplied mount.

The Reactor is expected to be on the commercial market within a month or so.
