Skye Aircraft Eases Drone Fear

Apr-23-16
The Skye aircraft from Aerotain relies on helium to stay aloft, making it safer than standard drones as well as able to stay aloft much longer.

As drones grow more common, so grows the public concern about their safety. To help alleviate fear of sharp edges and whirling blades, the helium-inflated Skye aircraft is powered by electric motors and is safe to fly above crowds, or even be touched. The Skye can be customized to carry different sizes of broadcast equipment, which can then capture images and stream them in real time to give crowds an overhead view of the action.
