Soft Sensors Monitor Patient Comfort

Soft Sensors Monitor Patient Comfort
Apr-10-18
Battery-free, wireless sensors could help caregivers monitor and ensure the comfort of their bedridden patients.

The small, soft sensors are meant to be applied to the skin of the patient at various areas of the body, where they will collect data on pressure and body temperature. The information is transmitted to an NFC coil beneath the bed, which powers the sensors and sends the data to a paired computer for review by healthcare staff.
