Solar3D's new solar cells are meant to be integrated into roof tiles, blending with the home while still gathering solar energy.The 3D solar cells from trap the sunlight inside the structures, bouncing the photons within the area and increasing their chances of being absorbed. The surface of the cells is particularly suited to installation on roof tops, with a more wide-angled light collection than conventional cells. This allows sunlight to be collected from a larger range of angles.
