SoPhy Smart Socks Aid in Remote Therapy

SoPhy Smart Socks Aid in Remote Therapy
Apr-09-18
The SoPhy smart socks communicate with Skype to make telemedicine diagnosis more efficient.

Many physiotherapists rely on video services like Skype to communicate with patients in remote locales and observe them performing movement exercises. To add an extra element to this diagnosis, the SoPhy socks each feature three sensors that gather information on the patient’s foot orientation and range of movement, along with weight orientation. This data is sent to the consulting physiotherapist in real time, allowing for a more in-depth diagnosis than video alone.
