Space Janitor Satellite

Feb-19-12 Swiss scientists are currently developing the CleanSpace One as way to clean up the orbiting space junk.

The CleanSpace One satellite is designed to grab the orbiting debris and then move them both into the Earth's atmosphere, incinerating them together upon re-entry. Once it targets an object, it will be able to adjust its path to intercept and obtain it with a grasping claw.

Currently, the device can only grab and transport one item at a time, and the project is still in development.
