The Squeezable Glass bottles are coated on the inside with a thin layer of silicon dioxide (the material use to make glass) only 20 nanometers thick. This ultra-thin layer keeps odors and flavors from sticking to the glass while still remaining flexible—allowing the bottle to be squeezed without shattering. Silicon dioxide has been approved by the FDA, and the bottles can be safely washed in the dishwasher—which makes cleaning much easier.
