Standing Wheelchair

Apr-11-16 A cleverly designed standing wheelchair will bring users to a higher, and more comfortable, level.

Designed by rehabilitation engineers at the Minneapolis VA, and led by Dr. Gary Goldish, the chair improves on earlier models with a four-wheel platform that increases stability. The chair can adjust to provide increased reach and prevent pressure sores, while an extended push wheel allows the user to propel the chair with motions similar to those used when seated.
