SUTUREFIX Provides Better Anchor Points and Fixation Confirmation

SUTUREFIX Provides Better Anchor Points and Fixation Confirmation
Feb-11-15
Designed for both hip and shoulder labral repair, the SUTUREFIX Ultra suture anchor allows surgeons to choose more anchor points in order to fine-tune the repair.

Developed by Smith & Nephew, the SUTUREFIX's smaller needle and shallow insertion depth lets surgeons evenly distribute anchor points along a large surface area. The wavelike design of the sutures create an exceptionally strong attachment that does not rely on bone quality, and the 1.7 mm x 20 mm twist drill removes less bone material than conventional fixation anchors.

The SUTUREFIX also provides surgeons with deployment feedback (an audible and tactile click as well as visual confirmation), helping to ensure each anchor is properly set.
