SYNFLATE Vertebral Balloons Help Repair Compression Fractures

SYNFLATE Vertebral Balloons Help Repair Compression Fractures
Oct-16-13
People suffering from painful compression fractures in the spine now have a new option for treatment—semi-elastic balloons that can be used to help reduce pain and restore the shape of the collapsed vertebra.

The SYNFLATE Vertebral Balloon is nearly double the strength of the standard elastic balloons currently available, and is available in several sizes. It is offered with either mono or bilateral access kits, which allows physicians to use their preferred surgical approach, and the different sizes enable the procedure to be tailored to the patient’s anatomy. Once the balloon has been inserted and inflated, restoring normal bone height, the balloon can be removed and the resulting cavity filled with a bone cement.
