TempTraq Patch Monitors a Child's Temperature for 24 Hours

TempTraq Patch Monitors a Child's Temperature for 24 Hours
Jan-08-15
Parents of young children may soon rest a bit easier with the TempTraq, a single-use wireless patch that adheres to a child's skin to constantly monitor temperature.

Developed by Blue Spark Technologies, the TempTraq adhesive patch attaches to the underside of a baby's arm, where it monitors the child's temperature continuously for 24 hours. The readings can be transmitted to a paired smartphone up to 40 feet away via Bluetooth, and are color coded for ease of reading. The parent can also choose to have a notification sent to their phone if the child's temperature reaches past a certain level, and the data can be shared with family members or a doctor.
