The SPUD Stethoscope Headset Increases Flexibility

Nov-06-14 Designed for first responders, the SPUD stethoscope headset adds some extra flexibility to conventional stethoscopes to make it much easier to access patients in emergency situations.

The SPUD (Sound Pick Up Device) is equipped with a standard 3.5 mm headset jack, which allows it to be attached to a regular pair of headphones. Since the headphone cables are both longer and more flexible than a typical stethoscope's, the SPUD can be slipped under the clothing without needing to move the person or remove their shirt. The SPUD can also be used with the company's audio jacked headsets, which amplify the sounds and make them more easily detected.
