The thumb-sized TinyScreen customizable display makes it easy to create your own digital display devices, such as a smartwatch or tiny video game player.
The TinyScreen is meant to work with the TinyDuino platform—part of the TinyCircuits company created by Ken Burns as an alternative to the larger and more expensive Arduino microcontroller. It is equipped with four buttons and a 96 x 64 pixel, 16-bit color OLED display and comes with several default functions, such as smartwatch capability and a Floppy Birds clone, already installed.
Further customization is done using TinyShields, tiny stackable expansion boards that fit together to add new functions, and users will also have access to all of the company's software and hardware files for the TinyScreen. The company has also partnered with Codebender, web-based Arduino platform, which simplifies the process of programming the TinyScreen.
