Toss and Shoot Lily Camera Drone

Toss and Shoot Lily Camera Drone
May-13-15
The “toss and shoot” Lily Camera was developed to simplify the drone camera experience, eschewing remote controls for a simple tracking device.

Still in the prototype stage, the Lily Camera weighs just under 3 pounds and measures about 10 inches square. It pairs with a small, puck-shaped tracking device that can be worn on the person or placed in an object (such as a boat). Designed for easy use, the drone’s motor will activate automatically when the Lily is tossed into the air, and its watertight body allows it to land anywhere. Once the drone camera takes flight, it will follow and photograph the target subject via GPS and visual tracking.
