Transporter Eschews the Cloud, Saves Files to Friends

Transporter Eschews the Cloud, Saves Files to Friends
Jan-10-13
The Transporter tackles the fragility of the hard drives and the fee and anonymity of the cloud, allowing users to back up their files to the hard drives of chosen, trusted people.

When files are saved to the Transporter, they are also automatically sent over the internet to the hard drive of selected people. Saved files can be pulled directly from the Transporter or accessed online from anywhere in the world, and the data transferred between Transporters is always encrypted during transit. Files can also be saved to be shared in a collaborative folder, which allows select people to access and update the content, with the changes automatically saved to all the members’ networks.

The Transporter developers are currently seeking funding on Kickstarter, and have already doubled their funding goal.
